I understand American made different styles of Torq Thrust, every one I have ever seen has the embossed letters on the inside. The picture you have is of the new copy, look at the cut on the inside edge next to the spokes. Your new one is flush, no indention, plus the center caps arent the same bolt pattern. I am pretty sure American didn't make a wheel like that two piece thing. I also have had many different styles of American wheels but like I said, everyone I have ever seen had the embossed letters. Some Japanese copies, very close copies were plain, maybe those are what you saw. I have had 16 inch wheels that are good copies but they weren't Americans.
