I have had a tick borne disease. On average I get one deer tick bite a month for the last 10 years. I heard that only 10% of deer ticks carry a disease and the tick has to be attached for more that 24 hrs to transmit the disease. So chances are you don't have a disease (at least not from the tick)
And use your fingers to remove a tick. Although some ticks are so small that a woman's fingers work better
