It was an example of how MM uses it's advertising budget to recruit the mechanically ignorant, and folks who know better act as accomplices by ignoring the facts because of $$$$$.
IIRC they used to advertise in Panorama also. Lots O' PCA members out there and many of em aren't familiar with wrenches.
Letters were written to PCA about that, PCA said basically it was none of our business.

ummmmm , not sure what you're getting at - but I was agreeing with you!!! My comment about suckers was people sending their engines to MM, not you!
With all the bad press I hear about them, I have no idea where they manage to get all their customers - obviously Rennlist is one place, if negative posts about them are closed down.
I haven't seen any magazine ads for some time either. But what really blows my mind is the amount of engines they must be rebuilding, unless their core business is parts and rebuild kits.
