Hi Sammy,
Yes. Now that I have gotten older, and since I was born in Havana, I have gotten fatter and find myself wearing guayaberas more often.

1. Cubavera version at Macys. Nice interpretation and readily available.
2. Latin areas have them at clothing stores.

This year I ordered 2 lovely linen ones (beige and light blue) for "Casa de Guayabera" in Miami, and the quality is amazing. At $140 each, they should be.
This is the store where Ron Reagan use to get his. He was a big guayabera fan; but he actually preferred the more formal long sleeve one..
If you go t Miami, you would enjoy the visit (La Casa de las Guayaberas - West Miami, FL, 33144 - Citysearch®)

I dislike the polyester ones, but OK for a night out at a bar or something..

Try this:
Buy Guayabera Shirts here.

Guayabera history:
1. It is said that in the 1800's the wife of a spaniard made some for farmers with bigger side pockets to facilitate the picking of guayabas nearby the vicinity of the Yayabo River in Santi-Spiritus, Las Villas, Cuba, Which is how the name guayabera originated.

If you ever want to smoke a cuban, have some cuban rum (don't ask), and talk politics, let me know.. You will have to wear a quayabera though..;-)
