You probably would enjoy a pair of "roper" style boots for casual wear. Not quite as high of a heal. More comfortable to walk in. Sorta like a cross between a cowboy boot and a wellington. I have a pair in simple distressed brown leather that I wear for casual situations (jeans and khaki).

A lot of lawyers around here wear them in polished black with business attire/suits but I'm not there yet. Some even wear ornate dressy cowboy buits with suits. May be just me but ostrich skin with pinstriped suits don't work for me.
