Also sorry for your loss. We really get attached to them. It takes time to morn.
Christmas night 2007 we had to put our beloved "Mollie" down. Had she made it till February 2008 she'd have been 18. She went everywhere with us. Raised her from a pup. Still have her ashes and a glass case with her leash & collar. Not a day I don't think about her. She's one of the many pictures on my screen saver.
About six months before her death, my daughter got me this little 3 year old gal from a cocker rescue in the area and has won over my heart. She's not Mollie but Sophie is so much like her.
