I got out on Tuesday and Max was waiting at the door for me. Laid next to me for the next two days as I rested on the sofa. On Thursday he could barely get up and move around. Took him to the Vet and found out he had kidney failure and there was nothing to be done. Almost like he was just holding on waiting for me to get home. I was there for him at the end. One of the hardest things I ever had to do. Goodbye old friend.
