Yep, took the original walnut stock off in favor of this unknown era composite one... got my German bazooka sling on... and got the handguard off and painted it with textured paint to match the stock... go to M-14 forums. look for bill ricca and buy a USGI USN NYLON SLING(vietnam era) new in bag made in the USA and made for that rifle! worth every penny. why? cuz it appears your sling mounts are plastic. and that aint good on that rifle cuz they be berry berry heavy and plastic likes to take a crap when ya least expect it. ie. worse possible time. and them rifles are spendy when they fall down cliffs rocks etc.
