'89 944 Automatic
I have a friend who has been driving his '89 944 to work for years. Recently, he rear-ended an SUV at less than 10mph. That messed up one of the headlights and the hood. He wants to get rid of it and was going to donate it. I told him I'd list it here to see if anybody was interested in it.
It's a guards red, '89 944 with an automatic transmission. He recently had a new trans put in it (less than 10k miles on the tranny), and recently had the front suspension replaced. The odometer broke at around 150,000 and he estimates that it has another 50,000 on it (so around 200k miles). I've never driven it, or even seen the interior, but the outside looks quite good apart from the damage. It is driveable (he was driving it right up until the fender-bender).
I suspect he would be willing to part with it for very little as long as you came and removed it from his driveway in the NW suburbs of Chicago. If interested, PM me and I'll put you in contact with him.
