anyways! i use Mobile 1 synthetic 5w30 all year round, ill drop down to 1.5 or after running hard, 2 bar with normal driving and highway. 4 bar at 4k rpm.
what i was told is that ZINC is the needed additive. and that redline is the way to go for that. it seems to be a true high quality oil, although ive never used it.
also you can use a little ZDDP additive to raise the Zinc levels. i know the older muscle crews use it and sware by it
im thinking about going to a thicker oil....i think the 5w30 is a little thin for all year run, especially with the amount of bars im getting. im thinking a 10w30 synthetic might be better, i dont think going back to Dino oil is a good choice once a synthetic was used. i think ill add a little ZDDP just to be sure
