Right now I'm using Rotella oil for the 944 I bought about a month ago.
I've been thinking about going synthetic since every car I've owned I converted to synthetic with stellar results.

But all I hear is that these old cars need zinc and blah blah.
Not that I'm not aware of the differences in oils from over 20 years ago but todays oils are better in their lubing properties compared to the old oils.

This thread seems to be a good idea of what works and so far have seen nothing bad about using a synthetic oil.
Recently, I've been a big Royal Purple fan and now using it in all cars except the 944.
Any other fans of the Royal Purple brand for the Porsches?
