So then its not just me. I have had HP laptops in the past and have never had any issues with batteries. When my wife called Dell she was told the batteries only last 1 year. She smartly thanked the guy for the information and said she wouldnt be buying another Dell.

Just an FYI, as the battery continues to die the computer will become extremely slow, if you take the battery out it will operate at full speed again.
