there are many things that will cause a small change in the handling of a car, wheel and tire width are 2. Will 205/245 under steer more than 225/245 on the same chassis. Yes. Does it make a significant difference? certainly not and especially so for street use. Would I personally prefer 225/245 on 8 & 9 for track? yes. For street? Das macht nichs, it just doesn't matter. Does 245 fit a 9 better than and 8? yes.

just remember to think through want you want when it's done(they're never really done but do think about what you want and how irt will be used)

front fit is increasingly difficult as the wheel and tire width and height increase. 205/55 on a stock ET23.3 Fuch is already a tight fit on a lowered car. You can go wider w/ increased ET(up to around 31mm) up to 245 but each incremental increase is exponentially harder to achieve,

225/45 on 8ET28 +/-3 w/ 245/45 on 9 ET 15 +5 is a really good set up
