Me too, but it is still a very emotional experience.
My FIL trained with those guys in Ryan PT-21's in Tucson many years ago. He came home after the war and bought a new Widgeon, owned it for over forty five years. I flew with him on many trips as did my son, his grandson. His grandson now flies as a corporate pilot. His grandfather's influence was very significant. They had a wonderful relationship. I believe I have some idea for how both generations feel. I hate to see them go.
One of the greatest enjoyments of my life is flying with my son. His grandfather would be very proud.
