I don't think the FIA certifies any recliners, only fixed seats. Braces are only useful if you have or plan to install a roll bar into the car such as the bolt in Safety Devices one, it would not work with the popular Redline bolt in. Without said back brace, I would not trust a seat like the APC on the track in a rear end collision. I've seen those seats at Pepboys and for the street it's fine, but the track is a different story where going ass end at high speed into a non forgiving object is very possible.
I am also a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I would at the cheapest look into Corbeau's which I can tell you are not very comfortable on long drives. The padding is just not very good quality.
I am using the mobile version of Pelican so I can't tell your location, but I am selling a set of Momo recliners with proper brackets (Wedge Engineering) and sliders to install into a 944. Everything is up in LI, NY if interested. I just made the switch to fixed backs.
