by the way, i am not a fan of the cops in this town. if i thought it was unjustified i would be screaming to high heaven.

I was going to say something to the people who don't know that locale. The "homeless" POS bums in that neighborhood are not some laid-off factory workers or such. They're more likely career criminals down on their luck and in between scores, definitely needing to get their drunk or fix on and more likely to be sociopath murderers than war heroes.
