You know Ur getting old when,,,,,,,,,
...you're a little bit annoyed with the guy who started this thread because he used "text speak" in the title.
...you don't wash and vacuum your car very often any more.
...you remember you and your dad watching "The Falstaff Game of the Week" with Dizzy Dean and Pee Wee Reese and hearing Ol' Diz proclaim that when a fella gets hit with a pitch, he should never rub the place he got hit... and you remember when he'd say, "Ohhhh, he had a ripple on that one"... and when he'd sing "Wabash Cannonball" as the game's outcome was (in his opinion) settled.
...one of the things you got for Christmas when you were about 8 was a red and green Tonka Dump Truck and you loved it.
...you remember the whole family watching "The Wizard of Oz" almost every year beginning in 1956 (it wasn't shown in '57, '58, & '63) on a black and white TV until the old man sprung for a color TV in the late "60s and then finding out it was in sepia and color when Dorothy opened the door after the house fell.
...it doesn't really bother you that you're getting old... it has it's benefits... it's fun to play the curmudgeon thing for laughs sometimes... and nobody ever expects you to help them move any more.
