That said, Willie Desjardins is a moron. I could see from the warmup that Allen was off his game and after the first goal I was screaming to pull him. Oh well. I'd rather lose to the US than the Swedes or, heaven forbid - the Russians.

Same for me Turbo. I played goalie all through high school and college. We do have a decent side this time around. Eberle surprised me , pleasantly. I'm hoping we can carry that momentum to the Olympics. "twould be sweet to beat the Russians.
What burns me the most about some fans is how they won't recognize excellence in the opponent. And whomever wins the Cup gets a standing O from me.
