The mouse thing is funny, Apple managed to make a two-button + scroller/gesture mouse that looks like a no-button mouse! It's all about fashion at this point. My Logitech 3-button works fine and is far more ergonomic than anything they ever put out.
I long for the days of vi. Honestly, I do. Sadly, it doesn't do "WYSIWYG" document editing very well unless you're into TeX...
