yeah, but i would rate "off" a much higher degree of free then "loose"
if somebody tells you "your lug nut is loose", wouldn't you assume that it's still somewhat attached? And just needs tightening?
Now if somebody tells you, your lug nut is "off" , You would assume it's gone missing entirely, right?
