You really need to ***** or get off the pot man. Not trying to be rude or anything, just honest. This saga has drug on long enough. Go buy yourself an SC for $9-10K that looks decent from 10 feet away and doesn't smoke out the neighbors when you start it up. Drive it and stop the whining. If it has some serious problems or you end up not liking it, sell the darn thing, maybe take a couple grand loss after driving it for a year or two, and get another one.

I may be in the minority on this board, but my wife and I make nowhere near $200K. I would be happy if we are ever able to attain that kind of annual income anytime in our lives. I doubt we will. And I know that I easily afforded the SC sitting in my garage. Paid cash for it even. It's nowhere near being a show car, but at least I have one and I drive it. Better to have a piece of ***** P-car in your garage than to spend your life looking for and dreaming of owning a nice one. Now you're telling me that you make $200k a year and you're having a hard time justifying buying an old Porsche. WTF? Obviously you are afraid of actually having to commit to something and end this drama or you have some serious problems with managing your finances and really can't afford it. Most people spend $10k on a used import car to use as a daily driver, and spend a grand total of a couple hours looking for it.

Take the plunge and stop living this vicarious existence!
