Here is another possibility..the ordeal of going through the traumatic events of losing a long term life partner might cause so much strain in a person of advanced age that phyisical deteroiation does occur....that is kinda what I was leading to when I said you cave in....
However anyway U wana cut it....U should be thoughfull and sensitive in your evaluation and not jump to a conclusion before you give some time to sort out the facts.
