I wouldn't let an article like that bother me even if I had a 2.7. I doubt if the owners of these cars were polled to find out if THEY liked them. This is obviously one individuals personal opinion. There weren't many cars besides the Plymouth Volare (0-60 in 3.5...hours) built in the mid to late seventies for the US market that were race-ready. That of course we can thank our government for. But, with a little massaging, the 2.7 can be a force to be reckoned with. Just look at the same vintage Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, etc., they were all victims of the same desecration but that doesn't mean they stayed that way!
