Just thought I'd post a short postscript to this thread. After doing a lot of research and speaking to all of the usual classic car insurance suspects, I decided to go with Sneed to insure my 993. The policy has an agreed value of $35K, allows me to drive the car 3000 miles a year, and contains this statement under the allowed use of the vehicle: "Occasional Commuting to Work". The premium is $370 a year which turns out to be the lowest I received. Here's hoping that I never need to file a claim...
