Turn the preview pane off or set your OE to display plain text only, not to parse HTML formatting.

Last year there was a trojan out there that was stealing stored user/pass's from FTP clients then inserting redirect scripts into all index pages on the sites it stole access to.

So after infection when people would visit the page they get the redirect script. They almost always did the same thing, hung the machine.
