There was an immaculate 72T Targa in light yellow that was advertised on this board several months ago for sale or trade. I saw the car in person and it was really in excellent shape with MFI, having been fully restored. Seller claimed to have spent in excess of $50k and I believe it. Hard sell, and he took a huge loss. My conclusion: A non-S Targa in less than perfect condition is worth less than $20k (a few recent no reserve ebay sales would suggest a lot less), and a repaint will probably return less than 50 cents on the dollar.
