I'm surprised that you have to spend that much money on a repaint. To me it seems like most things is a lot chaper in the US, but strangely enough not a repaint.
Here in Sweden, which is a unbelivable expensive place to live, I can have a very, very good bare metal repaint for maybe $6k. But, is it really worth spending that much on a T Targa? Over here we can typically have a good but not concours respray back to original color for maybe $2500. If you want to return it to it's former glory, maybe that is a better way to go?
I can understand the $10k repaint on a concours car, but with a $15k highest offer I'm guessing you have a good driver quality car. And you will never ever get back anything close to the $8-10k spent.
