Once again, this is not some exotic scenario. It's all too common. In a bank where there are only a few civilians and they are all bank employees, the least desirable place to engage the robber(s) is inside of the bank. In a crowded theatre lobby w/ hundreds of possibly unaware people coming and going who would not even have the chance to duck? Fking criminally stupid. You do not create the worst possible scenario because "for all we know..."

He was an idiot and you're dead wrong. Your other assertion assumes that someone w/ a gun in this hyper-kinetic situation could tip-toe up behind the guy and cap him in the head. It just defies the logic and reality of actual gun-play situations. Asinine reasoning...
