Actually she's coming over to my place this evening. Jimmy hats are all ready to go.

but i promise you not ALL 911 owners care what others think of them. and if i had to make an honest guess i'd bet a psych eval of 911 owners and vette owners would show a higher % of vette owners bought their cars for image and not driving experience.

I actually like 911's. Some of them i like a
whole lot (80s turbos are my favorite), i merely recognize that they are not the uber awesome cars that so many of the people that drink their KooLAiD seem to think they are, and i also realize that the older ones are not worth a mere fraction of the price they command (which is also true of old muscle cars).
For most of their life they were, in essence, supremely well done hot rodded VW Beetles.
I like my 928 because it is a German Vette. A Vette with a whole 'nother level of refinement and handling (when compared to same year vettes), and because they're really affordable. Finally, i love their looks, especially the flip up headlights.
I would own a 911 in a heartbeat too, if i could find one that didn't have the "Porsche tax" attached to it. Fat chance.
