my 95 vette was parked in front of the house. i live in the stix. a neighbor hit it hard enough to ruin all four stock magnesium wheels. vette had full performance exhaust, etc. excellent power and mpg. handled well enough in rain, and once, while on a job on the high desert, ran approx 10 miles in rain up to the doors, never missing a beat. interior stayed dry. i loved that car. stumbled into owning the '78 930. i've had it 5 years. recently started developing a real affection for this car. starting to trust and respect it. i started to really love the car when i started "personalizing" it. removing air cond, replacing fuchs with 3- piece, momo, das, etc.
these 2 cars impressed me. that's the bottom line.
i bought my first rolex submariner at the px in yokosuka, japan. i was 18. it cost $205.00
it is still the most recognisable watch in the world. very heavy and large. (i am a small guy).
electrononic watches keep much better time. i love rolex timepieces because they are mechanical masterpieces. that impresses me. that's the bottom line
