I was 19 when I ordered my new 1974 914 2.0. I knew way more about the 914 than all the salesmen put together. I knew exactly what I wanted and they ended up taking 6 months to get my car delivered to the Montgomery Alabama VW Porsche dealer. I took delivery on Friday September 13th 1974 and 12:15 PM. I brought it back Monday morning with 608 miles on it for the first scheduled maintenance.
I paid $6,750.00 for it new. I did not have room for it after I bought my current 911 so I had to sell it after 21 years. I miss that car.
