My first one was a 1966 912 purchased from Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville in 1972 for the princely sum of $2,200. I was 22.
A year later I almost bought a 1966 Ferrari 275GTB for $5,100 that had been traded to a local Lincoln-Mercury dealership for a new Pantera. I passed because I figured the maintenance costs would be prohibitive.
O, to have a time machine...
