my experience with DRM protected music is that they will transfer fine to your ipod from your friends computer because itunes assumes the ipod belongs to the purchaser of the song. I have never had trouble putting music bought on itunes onto friend's ipods. the problem comes when you want to transfer a DRM song from one computer to another unauthorized computer, not the MP3 player
