Update:

I saw my CR surgeon a few weeks ago who liked the progress of the fistula and said he thought it was time for an immunosuppressant to clear it up since there is no longer any infection.

I saw my Crohn's doc last night and he is going to start me on Humira.

I've had all the blood, TB and stool testing with everything coming back negative so I am good to go.

It will be a few weeks until I'm up and running on the Humira. I still have to get pre approval from the insurance company but it is covered, with a $40. copay.

JP, I know you have been on Humira, thoughts, advice? Anyone else feel free to chime in.

On a side note, my GI doc brought my case up at a confrence of GI docs and they unanimously agreed to go with an immunosuppressant in my case because of the active fistulizing Crohn's in the colon, (which only used to be in the ileum).
