Well,

I'm 57 and I love my stock 1988 Carrera 911 Cabrio. It has stock 15k on it and I am proud. I don't need to be an owner of a new Porsche (don't like them) and have to owe the bank money for it.
The original 911 body is timeless as is the 356. I have never been to a meeting but I have been to a few concours and they wouldn't even let me park my car near (I don't have a nick in the paint) the others and it was 90+ degrees and they wouldn't sell me a beverage for any of my family. The beverages were for paid entry cars. I showed my PCA card and told them that I have been a member over 25 years, but I was talking to deaf ears. We had to leave, as we were thirsty. I am a member of the vintage Jaguar club and during most shows they sell beverages & food and give free water, if it is that hot outside to anyone. As previously stated, the PCA seems to care about new sales & cars over our older ones. Years ago they catered to the older cars too.
