Well, having being forced into a retail management position because I was laid off I can and will confirm that that is the case 90% of the time. My job is to constantly find and hire new people. The resumes full of spelling mistakes, unprofessionalism and general stupidity is simply amazing. During one interview when I asked the candidate if he had any questions the candidate asked me what find of food I liked. Not about advancement opportunities, questions about the company or anything else that might have shown some intelligence or interest in the job. He asked what kind of food I liked.
