To reduce the amount you need to lift the rear of the car for an engine removal, take off the rear bumper!!!!!! Five easy steps:

1. Remove little black plugs from bumper strips and remove philips head screws. These are kinda stubborn somtimes, so the dreaded drill may be needed. Upon reinstallation, use anti-seize on screws! Pull end of bumper strip out of bumperette.

2. Disconnect wires from license plate lights in the black, jumbo bumperettes. Pull wires thru grommets

3. Remove 8mm nylock nuts and washers from rearmost end of bumper bellows/accordions (2 nuts per accordion) inside bumper area. Pull end of accordion out of bumper itself.

4. With bumper strips partially detached the big M8 nuts are visible. Remove 4 M8 nuts and jumbo washers.

5. Yank bumper off impact shock absorbers.

Sounds like kind of a pain, but I say the less you have to lift the car, the better.
