My '99 R1100S is shown as being built in "1998/06" in ETK. The Labels on the OEM Shocks say "SHOWA" as well as having a BMW Logo on the same Label.
They held up the bike well enough and never leaked but the Wilbers on it now are just way better over a 500 mile day.
