Yes, I agree they would. But it turns out, that knowledge is generally flawed.
Saw same thing in Duc community in 90s. Mid to late 90s monster owners drooled over their Marz forks because they have more adjusters. Nevermind that they were poorly damped and sprung and that the less adjustable Showas worked far better.

For the uneducated, perception trumps reality.

And there are always going to be folks who choose one product over another due to politics, religion, racism, nationalism, or any number of things that have nothing to do with the product at hand. I probably wouldn't by "Dampers by Hugo" (Chavez) either. (though if they had a truly killer one that had a working compression adjuster instead of the worthless things that come on Daytona 675s, just maybe -- no, probably not. I'm guilty too)
