Dude, that was well done! What I probably should have done was stop, put the car in neutral, set the parking brake....and then got out and tapped the guy's window.
"Hey, my name is Normy, and I'm a certified Porsche-fanatic. Would you mind if I back my 928 up to your rear bumper and take a picture so that I can show my friends?"
I simply didn't think about that right then. I saw the car, and wanted to get the picture as quick as possible, in case he drove off. It was a situation too-good-to-be-true! As I came down the parking aisle at Publix, it appeared the owner was out of the car. The flashing backup lights should have told me something. Oh well, I screwed up.
