I do understand, I deal with this everyday (two cars here right now with dead keys).
First, the car needs running on a PST2/Piwis to check the alarm system (and the rest of the car) and the keys.
If you don't have the code number from the keys, or the Porsche tester (PST2 or Piwis) doesn't recognize them or replacing the key batteries doesn't work, you will be buying two new remote heads and having them programmed.
Part of the problem is over a period of time the pressure from operating the key buttons cracks the circuit board.
