Don't know if I'm going into quicksand, or if I got a good deal. I'd like some opinions.
I "won" a 1999 C4 coupe on eBay -- 113K miles on chassis, 2 owners; new "crate" engine 30K miles ago (including, purportedly, all accessories), and rebuilt trans about 10K miles ago, with new clutch. Car was up for sale twice on eBay: the first time, no one bid on it; the second time, I was the only one bidding, and got it with the starting price of $17,900.
Meanwhile, all the other 1999 coupes are going for around $22-24K on eBay, with numerous bidders. What is it that everyone in the world knows about this car that I don't know? Does this car have a reputation from somewhere else, or is it possible that this is a good deal? (I really don't believe in good deals....)
