accumounts.com makes excellent reproductions of the original type scope mounts, and there are a few different no-gunsmith mounts.
By the way, for Mauser scope mounts, LSR= Long Side Rail, and SSR = Short Side Rail.
You can also have a gunsmith drill and tap it for standard scope bases.
If you want to do it cheap without modifying the rifle, there are a few inexpensive "scout" type mounts which replace the rear sight and use a pistol scope. You could probably get something like this together for $60 or so.
