Every part is 2 to 4 times more expensive than a regular e46 and the valve adjustment is about $1200 at the dealer (and I'd recommend taking it to the dealer.)
Your local dealer should be able to run the VIN to make sure the engine rod bearings were replaced.
Other than that, they're a blast.
