My girlfriend and I, along with our friend will be scoping out Arizona in just over a week and a half. Ever since moving from Hawaii to Cali a year ago I have come to the realization that this just isn't for me...for a lot of reasons. After doing much research as well as reading on PPOT on people wanting to move we've decided that AZ seems like a great place, and everyone we've talked with have said it's a beautiful place.

Our time is short since these are the only days off my girlfriend and friend could take off, so we're gonna try to see as much as possible in as little time as possible. Not so much the touristy stuff, as there's plenty of time to see/do once we do make it down there permanently. We will be primarily scoping out a few optometry practices for sale for my g/f, as well as a few possible areas that we would consider moving to (haven't researched much yet).

As the drive from the sf bay area is roughly 12 hours we will probably be renting Prius since it gets 3x the gas mileage as my Tundra. We'll be heading out the night of Sat the 13th to make it mid-late morning on Sunday. So far the plan is to check out Flagstaff for a few hours, then head down to Phoenix in the afternoon with a quick stop at Prescott. Spend the night and the following day in Phoenix and then south to Tucson on Tuesday. Probably headed back late afternoon Tuesday.

I know there's a bunch of you guys here (Joe, Rick, Charles, et al) and if you guys have time perhaps we can get together one of these days?

Any comments, suggestions, and recommendations (for food!) are greatly appreciated!
