I have never had a 993 on my lift, but I don't see how changing the oil could possibly be a problem on my Bend Pak scissor lift. There is a ton of room IMO. I have put clutches in both a BMW and a 944 turbo and plenty of room. Don't get me wrong, a two poster would make life just a tad simpler not having to park on ramps, but not having two fixed posts in my paint booth/auto repair bay is why I am tickled with my scissor lift. It has also come in handy as an ATV lift and as a lift platform to load/unload heavy stuff out of the back of my truck.
Here are some pics showing my BMW during a clutch change and my old #$@% Audi that shows plenty of room both in the front and the rear for getting to exhausts, transaxles, drive tubes, drive shafts etc.
