Have done it a couple of times but that was 10-15 years ago. Cars in Europe do not last as long so there are not a lot of "old timers" as they are called there.
Worth looking there for a sale. Might advertise it in Ebay Germany (  eBay: Neue und gebrauchte Elektronikartikel, Autos, Kleidung, Sammlerstücke, Sportartikel und mehr – alles zu günstigen Preisen) or the like. Helps to speak or at least read German. If you need help let us know.
