Grew up in LA. Liked it then, but now really don't like it much. San Diego has most of the advantages of LA (weather), but few of its problems (endless flat terrain and lots of traffic). Climate-wise SD has got to be one of the best places on Earth to live.
OH, just one more problem with CA generally that must be acknowledged... The state is a basket-case economically. I won't go into why... wrong forum
