I'm not planning to keep the car for long. Due to a medical condition I may not be able to drive for much longer. That's why I want to keep everything as stock as possible, including that little valve. I'm figuring the car will be easier to sell on that way. I would definitely go with your solution if I was planning on keeping her. surely some other car maker must be using a similar hose for some application?
