As you can tell by the sizer of the spring it does not compress that easy. there are several ways to do this and be safe. I have liked the strap idea the best. That way you can let the pressure off slowly. There are several post on this do a search on boost sping and I even believe someone too the time to take pictures. I think it was emission but am not sure.

ps. I am considering the electrical boost thing. It lets you dial in what you want.. so you can run around town most of the time with.7 but when your feeling really frisky...1.0 wheeeeeeeeeeeee
